Subud is an international organisation of people who have received a contact with the great life force, or power of God which has awakened an inner vibration. This inner vibration manifests in individually unique
ways during the spiritual practice of Subud (latihan kejiwaan) and provides inner guidance for each person’s unique path through life.
The membership of Subud consists of people from all cultures and religious groups as well as people not
practicing a formal religion.
The word Subud is an abbreviation of the words Susila Budhi Dharma.
Susila means to be able to live according to the Will of God as really true human beings.
Budhi indicates that in every creation, in every creature of God, including human beings, there is divine power which works within.
Dharma means the possibility for every creature, including human beings, to surrender and submit completely to God’s Will.
Subud therefore contains “the possibility for human beings to follow the right way of living.”
Bapak Muhammad Subuh Sumohadiwidjojo was born in central Java, Indonesia in 1901. He died in 1987 on the morning after his 86th birthday. He is referred to affectionately by Subud members as “Bapak”, an Indonesian term of respect meaning “father” or “sir”.
Bapak was the first person to receive “latihan kejiwaan Subud”, and he subsequently toured the world giving explanations and answering questions about the path of Subud.

WCOT General Meeting – 10 December
Rusdi Bustillo, the coordinator of the congress organizing team called all members involved in organizing the congress for meeting.
Additional new team members have been recruited and were introduced. The new team are working under logistics, accommodation, transportation, health, and services. The WSA treasurer is also reinforced for dealing with congress matters.
WCOT Meeting with Wings – 3 December
The congress team met with representatives of the Wings ( SDIA, SICA, SESI) and discuss the program of the Wings for the World Congress.

WSA BOD Meeting – 2 December
At the last BOD Meeting of 2023, the agenda item consisted of WSA 2024 Budget which included the World Congress Budget.
Aside from that, matters that needed to be followed up were on the agenda in anticipation of the Congress and handover to the next team.
The world congress team updated the meeting on matters concerning program, and other preparations. The request from SDIA/SEA on education fund was also discussed at length.

The Muhammad Subuh Foundation (MSF) is the foundation established by the WSA for the long-term development of Subud. The Subud organisation includes specialist affiliate organisations to support members working in the world in social and cultural activities.
